Gojo VS Sukuna: Is Gojo Satoru Stronger Than Sukuna?

Everyone, from Jujutsu Kaisen devotees to casual observers, has discussed and dissected one thing: the strength against the strength. Gojo vs Sukuna.

Or, rather, who would win this epic clash? The story has shown that Sukuna & Gojo are formidable powerhouses who have no fear.

Gojo had to say, of course that he could beat Sukuna confidently. Sukuna doesn't seem any different and wants to fight the jujutsushi that welcomed him so graciously.

Their annoying personalities aside, their powers can be just as interesting and powerful as they seem. Gojo's statement triggered a fan frenzy. Everyone tried to analyze the fight and came up with their own conclusions.

We will analyze the data and determine who will win Gojo vs Sukuna. Let's get into the hot debate.

Don't forget to study Sukuna and Gojo's techniques before you start!

Gojo vs Sukuna - Is Gojo more powerful than Sukuna's?

There is not much to speculate on for a show this talked about.

Problem begins with Sukuna’s unidentified technique(s) and the minimal fights they have fought.

We don't know their full arsenal of power, and we don't know how powerful they are. Then, where do we start comparing them?

We can only draw a comparison to their fight against Jogo.

Jogo is unfortunate, but Sukuna as well as Gojo destroyed him quickly despite only casual fighting.

We can make an arbitrarily based statement that Sukuna's 15-finger Gojo vs Sukuna fight is about the same level of Gojo toying around.

But, Mahoraga is the problem with this assumption. 15-fingers Sukuna was able to defeat the Ten Shadows Technique's most powerful shikigami.

Gojo claims that it was something similar that brought down a Six Eyes and Limitless user in the future. Could this be why Sukuna is so interested in Megumi

This could mean that 15-finger Sukuna truimphs are in the Gojo vs Sukuna fight? Gojo must say goodbye if there are any more fingers.

We can't just jump to this conclusion. Gojo is indisputablely a step ahead than the Six-Eyes or Limitless users of the past. We don't think so.

For starters, Gojo was able to use the Hollow Purple attack, which is not known to many people, even the Gojo clan. To aid him in fighting, he also learned the Infinity.

Gojo stated that everyone is familiar with Inherited Techniques passed down from generation to generation. There's a reason he can stand out above the rest and shock them.

We have yet to see Gojo fully utilize his powers. He'd be able to create a domain expansion in 0.2 seconds, so he must have many more tricks.

Akutami's remarks on Gojo are even more fascinating. In the fanbook (unofficial translation), and in an interview, the mangaka stated that Gojo was the ceiling of power within Jujutsu Kaisen.

He is undoubtedly the strongest person in existence. Whew.

Gojo vs Sukuna: Who wins?

Although the power scaling is still unclear, let's see if we can estimate who wins.

We start with what we already know: Sukuna’s Slash, and Cleave. Gojo's Infinity might be the best counterattack to this physical attack since it isn't a passive one.

We saw it from the man himself: nothing he doesn’t want can cross the infinitely far from him.

A Slash and Cleave attack may be useless, but what about attacks like Maximum: Meteor.

Jogo was 15-fingers weaker than Sukuna, and he would not have survived the attack had it hit him. Gojo's greatest strength is his inability to be hit by any attacks. We can therefore agree that the Meteor would not have hurt him.

We aren't certain of one other possibility.

Gojo's Infinity is not applicable to domain expansions, and we are very aware of how swift and powerful the Malevolent Shrine can be.

Sukuna's attacks are more powerful than Mahorga’s regeneration speed. Even though Gojo is extremely fast, he can't evade attacks from any direction and at an impossibly high rate of speed.

Gojo is not a loser when it comes domains. His Infinite Void is one the most powerful domains of Jujutsu Kaisen. It seems like there is no escape from it.

Sukuna may be cursed, but his sentience makes him vulnerable to endless thoughts in Gojo’s domain. Gojo can decide if anyone or everything in Infinite Void exists.

The battle between Sukuna and Gojo comes down to just one possibility (or maybe two), who can manifest their domain first.

We must ask ourselves if Infinite Void is capable of overpowering Malevolent Shrine. It seems unlikely that the vice-versa will happen because, as we have discussed, anyone in Infinite Void can no longer think straight or act straight.

Because both domains have infinite cursed energie, we don't know how they compare.

We can now say that Sukuna may win in the domain expansion battle in Gojo Vs Sukuna because of human limitations in casting domains.

How about speed? They are both incredibly fast. That's for sure. Sukuna suddenly appeared next to Panda in Shibuya during Jogo's fight.

Gojo is the subject. Gojo is not only fast, but he can also teleport to very short distances. He can appear in any random place to attack in any way he chooses.

Gojo is certain to be the winner of Speed in Gojo vs Sukuna Battle.

Gojo attacks Juzo

So far it seems quite simple. Let's make this a little more difficult by discussing attacks.

Sukuna's primary attack are Slash, Cleave and Cleave. They are invisible but that doesn't make it any less important. Gojo can also use his invisible attack technique, just like he did against Juzo.

Sukuna is the King of Poison. Gojo stated in the Hidden Inventory arc that it would take time but he would be capable of distinguishing poisonous objects.

Gojo can counter poison right now

We can confidently say that he can handle any poison because of his speed at learning.

We don't know anything about Infinity, his invisible attacks, or how he can use them.

It's now time to tackle the elephant in room: Sukuna’s hidden techniques. Fans have wondered if Sukuna has a collection of cursed methods since Jogo was killed by the fire arrow.

He might have one that can beat Gojo if he does. This belief is strengthened by Sukuna’s extensive knowledge of techniques, much like Kenjaku.

His quick thinking and knowledge may give him an advantage against Gojo. We don't know much about his Binding Vow to Itadori.

Let's talk about one thing before we get to the end of the fight.

Is Gojo able to defeat Sukuna in a match?

There has been much talk about whether they could beat each other but not enough about whether they should. It would discredit many plot points, critically speaking, if Gojo beats Sukuna.

This would remove any meaning from Megumi and Itadori's character development. This is not the best way to plot the story.

Gojo previously stated that he wanted to raise strong sorcerers, as he is not strong enough. This generation is the time to fully realize their potential and strength in their fight against Sukuna.

Gojo's motivation to become a teacher

Gojo defeating Sukuna would defeat Gojo’s core purpose to become a teacher.

We all assume that Sukuna will be the last villain of Jujutsu Kaisen. These assumptions are often wrong, as Akutami loves to bend rules.

It is worth asking ourselves whether Gojo vs. Sukuna will ever happen. Kenjaku seems to be Gojo's greatest enemy, given his history with Geto Sukuna.

Sukuna is the protagonist. The manga sets up a fight between him and Megumi right from the beginning. We also have Itadori, the protagonist, and Okkotsu as pre-protagonists.

It seems increasingly unlikely that this fight will ever happen.

Summarising, I believe Gojo's words were not all that hollow.

My opinion is that Gojo will defeat Sukuna if there's ever a fight. We haven’t seen him take it seriously yet. He may be a lousy sorcerer, but he is the strongest.

Which outcome do you predict for Gojo vs Sukuna's battle?
